Is this 10-Week Tech Accelerator right for me and my startup?

  1. Your business is located in Oregon or Washington (This free program is open only to tech entrepreneurs based in Oregon or Washington due to funder requirements)

  2. You are either actively working on a tech startup* or have a compelling tech startup idea and are ready to commit to turning it into a scalable business

  3. You commit to being available: Attend a 1.5-hour weekly Tech Accelerator virtual session between the beginning of April – mid-June and at least (5) 1-hour Open Mentor virtual sessions during the span of the program

  4. You commit to doing the work in between accelerator sessions to help your business start and grow

  5. You commit to actively participating in the accelerator and mentor sessions

  • Melissa is an entrepreneur, marketing and event expert, and mentor. She has coached and taught entrepreneurship for various nonprofits in Eugene as well as the University of Oregon. She has created a curriculum for a pre-accelerator and accelerator based on The Lean Startup and Disciplined Entrepreneurship. She currently owns two companies and is a Venture Catalyst for RAIN Catalysts serving Oakridge, Lowell, and the McKenzie River.

  • I've grown revenue within six different industries and generated sustainable sales by building relationships with the ideal client (DTC or B2B), through every touchpoint of the customer journey.

  • Jim Gibbs, a NY native, came to Pittsburgh to attend Carnegie Mellon University's

    school of Computer Science. Leaving early, Jim now has almost 40 years of

    experience as a software developer and 25 years in management. He has helped

    build everything from medical software to platforms that handled 30% of the mobile

    retail sales in the US.

    Jim has a philosophy of "Fix Things that Ruin your Day." As a regular receiver of

    parking tickets, this led him and his long-time programming partner to create Meter

    Feeder, the parking payment app that enables people to pay for parking with one

    button tap. He has a similar outlook in life advocating and instilling the principle that

    the world will be a better place if people keep taking chances and lead by example.

  • Qiana Patterson is an experienced tech operator and investor, specializing in B2B SaaS in enterprise, fintech, healthtech, AI/ML and cloud. With her, she brings over 20 years of experience in the growth, operations, project/product management expertise in the technology industry. Currently she is the Managing Partner at Nayah, leading operations and investments, focused on early stage founders who are building true community power, shared wealth and well-being. Notable investments are in Ellevest, Teal Health, ChargerHelp, Solv, Synctera, MoCafi, Lorals and Caylent.

    She is proudly a co-founding investment committee member of The Cap Table Coalition and a mentor and advisor for organizations like Black Ambition, Techstars and Good Scout Capital, a middle market private equity fund. A Seattle native she is a graduate of the University of Washington, and an alum of both UCLA and USC's Marshall School of Business.

  • Mark Kotzer has 20+ years of experience bringing new products and businesses to life. He’s launched dozens of products in industries ranging from technology to financial services to travel to specialty food & retail. He created and led corporate innovation teams at Fortune 500 companies, managed an innovation consulting practice, held leadership roles in start-ups and the venture capital community, and taught entrepreneurship and business development at the University of Washington. His breadth of experience enables him to identify unique ways companies of all sizes can overcome growth obstacles, develop new revenue streams and transform the customer experience.

    He currently serves as a Growth Advisor to accelerators and their portfolio companies. He helps start-ups get market traction by working with leadership teams to refine their business models, create and execute go-to-market strategies, and build strong relationships with customers, investors and partners.

  • Before creating The Bitter Housewife, Genevieve Brazelton developed a diverse background, beginning in the restaurant industry at 16 and advancing into the media sector after earning her Masters. She held roles as an Associate Editor at Wine & Spirits Magazine and later, as a PR and Marketing Strategist in the food and beverage industry.

    Her extensive experience and instinctive understanding of flavors enable her to produce balanced, accessible bitters using all-natural ingredients. Genevieve excels as a branding and marketing specialist, focusing on simplicity and inclusivity to ensure both her products and messaging are approachable.

    Today, Genevieve uses the expertise that fueled The Bitter Housewife's nationwide success to assist early-stage food companies. Her specializations in branding, messaging, and marketing strategy are instrumental in guiding these startups on their growth journeys.

  • Jonathan is an experienced educator and entrepreneur who is deeply committed to supporting small businesses. Following eight years as a middle school science and AVID teacher in Skagit Valley schools, Jonathan transitioned to full-time entrepreneurship with his wife in 2014. Together, they own elSage and organize the popular Valley Made Market series, where Jonathan plays a supporting role. Utilizing his background in commercial real estate, Jonathan also specializes in analyzing, acquiring, renovating, and leasing commercial properties.

    Motivated by his entrepreneurial spirit, Jonathan joined RAIN Catalysts as the Skagit Venture Catalyst in 2023. As a behind-the-scenes operator, Jonathan enjoys connecting great people to other amazing individuals. His dedication to supporting small businesses makes him a valuable asset to RAIN and the broader Skagit Valley community.

  • Sierra-Leone Jones, a distinguished wellness and self-care expert based in Seattle, WA, is the visionary behind A Space Inside, a haven designed for personal development, artistic exploration, and fostering a sense of community. With a rich foundation in communications, education, and advanced certifications in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Sierra crafts unique programs that marry the principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) with holistic wellness strategies.
